Graduate Assistant – Digital Marketing & Social Media
The Digital Marketing and Social Media Graduate Assistant is a one-two year position that will assist the Assistant AD of Digital Revenue Strategy and the Digital Marketing and Social Media department by planning and executing strategies that generate revenue and increase engagement for Auburn Athletics.
Work in partnership with the Assistant AD of Digital Revenue Strategy and team by completing daily office hours in order to plan and execute digital and social strategies for all of Auburn’s 19 athletic programs. Tasks include, but are not limited to: Build and send weekly emails using our email marketing tool, Eloqua Upload content including podcasts, videos, stories, images and more to AuburnTigers.com Record and measure data for all digital platforms including emails sent, website visitors and engagement and social media, etc. Assist in the planning, posting and maintenance of all social media platforms Responsible for developing and implementing weekly Auburn Tigers email newsletters Coordinate with the Assistant Director of Strategic Communications on strategies aimed to increase engagment and revenue via our athletics website Develop marketing plans for Olympic sports in partnership with our Fan Experience team. Standing/walking for up to six hours Possesses visual acuity to operate certain technologies, equipment, and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned Ensures all assigned tasks are carried out in compliance with department, university, SEC and NCAA rules and regulations
Education: Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Public Relations, Business, Marketing, or another related field Acceptance into graduate school at Auburn University is required before candidate can officially be offered the position Position requires a two-year commitment. Applicants selected for the position must then apply for and be accepted into the Auburn University graduate schoolPosition includes graduate school tuition waiver and monthly stipend. To be on assistantship, a graduate student must: Be in a degree-seeking program Be registered for courses during each academic term of the assistantship Satisfy the minimum load specifications of the individual departments and be making satisfactory progress toward the degree Expectations: Detail-oriented for accuracy of data and information Highly organized and ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines Strong initiative to solve problems Extraordinary focus on customer service Willing to work in a team atmosphere where expectations are set and managed while giving staff flexibility to do their assigned task Relevant experience in marketing and social media
