Job Summary

The Event Management department seeks candidates for a Graduate Assistant position. This department serves as the cornerstone department of all events occurring on the campus of Auburn University. This position will assist in all aspects of event management.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Assist full time event managers with all setups, breakdown, and various other athletics event preparations Serve as main point of contact for assigned sports and events Assist in event staff scheduling, training, and education Assist in managing day-to-day office responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, sport management, or related field. Admitted to a graduate degree-seeking or certificate program. Registered for at least one course (anything carrying an Auburn University course number) during each academic term of the assistantship. Candidates must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and a willingness to work nights and weekend hours. We are looking for a candidate who desires to hold this position for two years.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a collegiate or professional sport event management is preferred.
