This position is conditional upon an acceptable background check.
Time Frame of Assistantship:
The successful graduate student can work up to two (2) academic years (i.e. beginning August 1, 2024 through May 31, 2026), with satisfactory performance in the graduate program and in the assistantship area.
The successful graduate student should expect to work more than ten (10) but less than twenty (20) hours each week.
Compensation:
$5,000/academic year (August 1 - May 31)
Tuition waiver offered.
Duties and/or Responsibilities:
This position may:
Coach a position group at practice. Generally assist with practice and workouts from approximately 3-5 pm as well as workouts as scheduled during weekend or other time.
Assist full-time coaches with equipment hand out, inventory, and updates.
Assist in recruitment of student athletes by:
making phone calls to them;
hosting them on game day visits;
hosting them on recruiting weekends;
helping full-time coaches plan recruiting day visits
Assist with workouts and training of athlete, in and off-season.
Assist with DSU Volunteer work (via coordinating, organizing and as necessary supervising)
Assist with academic guidance to student athletes, including study tables
Assist full-time coach(es) with other duties as may be assigned
