POSITION SUMMARY:
Mercyhurst University is seeking multiple highly motivated individuals to fill our Graduate Assistant
for Athletic Communications positions. Mercyhurst is a NCAA Division I member of the Northeast
Conference (NEC).
Compensation: The stipend is $7,500 (9-months) in addition to a 65% tuition waiver. The student
must maintain satisfactory academic progress: 3.0 GPA at a 75% completion rate.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Contribute to the Athletics department website and all social media platforms, with content type ranging
from written, graphic design and multimedia/video.
• Compile, disseminate, and maintain sports statistics for assigned teams, including serving as official
scorekeeper for home games.
• Directly manage setup, live production and breakdown of webcast equipment.
• Management of student employees and game-day event staff for all home games for assigned sports in a
professional setting.
• Plan and implement historical statistic archiving, as well as maintenance of photography database.
• Completing conference, regional and national award applications to recognize coaches and student-
athletes from assigned teams and programs.
• Travel with teams as necessary, primarily for postseason contests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additionally, candidates should have a great work ethic, be open to learning, confident in current
skills, and possess professional communication skills. Qualified applicants must have the availability to
work evenings and weekends.

and working within a team environment while filling a variety of roles.
