The academic enterprise of the university is organized into our College of Art, Culture, and Scientific Inquiry; College of Education; Richards College of Business; University College; School of Communication, Film, and Media; Tanner Health System School of Nursing; Honors College; Graduate School; UWG Newnan; and our UWG Douglasville Center. 

Job Summary

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•  Monitoring study hall. 
• Academic Coaching (assist with goal setting, weekly planning of projects, connection with campus resources appropriate for student goals, etc.). 
• Maintain weekly study hall and grade reports for assigned students. 
• Monitor student success. Assist with creation of student schedules and adjustments during add/drop periods. 
• Other duties as assigned to accomplish organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Admitted to a University of West Georgia graduate program. 
• Maintain 3.0 GPA
• Professionalism is a must. 
• Excellent time management and organization skills especially as related to academic success. 
• Ability to prioritize workload. Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines. 
• Capable of working unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Readiness to help with a variety of programs and tasks. 
• Comfortable in diverse settings and diverse communities.
• In person availability during hours of operation (mostly 8 am - 5 pm with occasional evening or weekend event assistance).
• Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google and Microsoft office tools.
• Experience with EAB Navigate, D2L, Banner, Smartsheets.
• Experience with NCAA rules for Division 2.
• Prior collegiate athletic experience a plus (as an athlete or assistant).
