General Description:

The duties of the Graduate AssistantMen's BaseballCoach will be to assist the Head Baseball Coach in all areas of the operations of thebaseball program. This will include, but not be limited to, the items listed in this job description.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in player development and training.
• Assist in the overall offensive approach. Selected individual will need to have expertise in hitting and infield or outfield play.
• Selected individual must be able to throw quality batting practice and swing a fungo.
• Selected individual must becompetent to run training sessions with the direction of the Head Baseball Coach.
• Selected individual must be competent to run training sessions with the direction of the Head Baseball Coach.
• Selected individual must be able to translate the instructions of the Head Baseball Coach effectively and in a timely manner during training sessions.
• Selected individual must be able tocommunicate effectively. Attention to detail must be a priority.
• Selected individualwill complete other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Administrative Duties:

• Selected individual must maintain consistent office hours as agreed upon by the Head Baseball Coach and selected individual.
• Selected individual will assist in the tracking and maintenance of all equipment.
• Selected individual will assist in all daily operations of the program: practice planning, advanced scouting reports, recruiting, community service planning, travel logistics, and field maintenance.
• Selected individual will be responsible forsupervision of all study halls.

Typical Physical Demands:

• Ability to climb several flights of stairs several times each day and move freely on campus.
• Ability to crouch, kneel, bend, or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to spend time outdoors and in inclement weather.
• Ability to speak and read English fluently.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard and phone.
• Effective mobility skills required to move about freely and quickly in office and on campus.
• Must meet the requirements of the William Woods University vehicle policy.

Work Schedule:

Graduate Assistants work an average of 25 hours per week. More during thebaseball season and less duringthe off season. The Graduate Assistant is not required to work during the summer months, but may continueto live in campus housing (if awarded) and continue taking classes.

Compensation:

Compensation includes fulltuition in a Graduate program along with free on campus housing and meals when the dining hall is open.
