Description: About King University Founded in 1867, King University is a comprehensive Christian university located in Bristol, Tennessee. King is dedicated to providing students with a rich and rigorous academic experience that integrates faith, learning, and service in a close-knit, student-centered community. The Graduate Assistant Basketball Coach supports the head coach in all aspects of managing a collegiate basketball program. This role combines Christian leadership, coaching, administrative responsibilities, driving a 15-passenger van, and mentorship of student athletes while allowing the individual to pursue graduate studies. As well as other assigned duties.

Preferred Qualifications: · CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) · Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor student-athletes · NCAA required learning courses · Valid US driver’s license

Responsibilities: · Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices, training sessions, and game preparation · Provide technical instruction and skill development for student-athletes · Support strength, conditioning, and injury prevention programs · Analyze player performance and contribute to game strategy · Assist with recruiting efforts, including scouting and communication with prospective student-athletes · Help organize team travel, scheduling, and logistics · Monitor academic progress and promote student-athlete success · Ensure compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations · Assist with camps, clinics, and community engagement activities · Perform administrative duties such as record-keeping, equipment management, and correspondence · Assist in transportation such as driving vans when needed.

Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English required

Hours: Expected Schedule of Employment Monday through Sunday; 25 hours per week
