Position: Graduate Assistant
Department : School of Communication, Sports Communication
Term of appointment : One academic year assignment, with opportunity for renewal for fall 2025 semester. Appointment begins with the fall 2024 semester (late August) and lasts through end of April.
Salary : $10.00 per hour, up to $3,200 per semester (for a total of $6,400 for the academic year), plus fully paid tuition and fees.
Requirements : Undergraduate degree in journalism, mass communication, sports communication or marketing, broadcast production, media studies, or similar degree. Professional and/or student media experience in journalism or broadcast production is preferred. Working knowledge of shooting and editing (preferably in Adobe Premiere) is a plus. Applicants for this assistantship must already have been admitted into the School of Communication M.A. program and must commit to enroll in a minimum of nine (9) credits per semester. The application processes for the graduate program and graduate assistantships are separate.
