Graduate Assistant – Softball

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Graduate Assistant – Softball
Work Schedule: Part Time (Graduate Assistantship), 2-Year Appointment
Supervisor: Head Softball Coach

General Duties

• Assist in coaching, recruiting, and operations of the softball program
• Coach a position group and supervise the junior varsity team
• Coordinate recruiting communication, visits, and prospect tracking
• Assist with field maintenance, laundry, and equipment management
• Support game film analysis and individual skill instruction
• Participate in strength and conditioning sessions and campus events
• Model professionalism and promote Tabor’s Christ-centered athletic mission
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Department

Desired Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Playing or coaching experience in softball preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Has a demonstrable faith in Jesus Christ

Graduate Program Options:

• MBA: Leadership, Sports Management & Leadership, or Healthcare Leadership
• M.Ed: Neuroscience and Trauma

Compensation:

• $3,500 yearly stipend
• Tuition, books, and fee waiver
• One meal per weekday in Tabor cafeteria (when open)
