Glenville State University is looking for a highly motivated coach to serve as a Graduate Assistant for the University’s Sports Information program. The coach will report to the head coach and serve a 10-month annual appointment.
Examples of Duties
Game Day and event planning.
Assist in the oversight and execution of the department’s social media activities.
Assisting the SID in daily office operations.
Assisting the SID in the execution of necessary administrative detail within the athletic department.
Assisting the SID in the upkeep of the Athletic Department website.
Assisting the SID in weekly Athlete of the Week nominations for the MEC, and for weekly department award.
Maintaining the department hallway and the initiative of honoring the reigning First-Team All-MEC performers.
Assisting in the department’s fundraising efforts and community service activities.
Assisting and learning in creative efforts such as statistics, photography, creative design and video production.

Typical Qualifications
Registered and enrolled in a graduate degree program at Glenville State University.
An undergraduate degree.
Excellent leadership skills.
Sound interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer literacy.
Must be willing to be flexible with their schedule.
Benefits
Lodging in campus housing.
$1000 food stipend in the campus dining hall ($500 per semester).
$4000 salary stipend ($2000 per semester).
One graduate class per semester to be paid for – valued at $1434 per semester and $2868 per year.
Must be registered for at least nine hours per semester.
