Job Description

Williams Baptist University invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Wrestling Coach. This individual will assist in all aspects of the men’s and/or women’s wrestling programs, supporting the mission and vision of both WBU and the athletic department. This position includes tuition remission for graduate-level coursework and a monthly stipend.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach with the day-to-day operations of the wrestling program
  • Support recruiting efforts by identifying, evaluating, and communicating with prospective student-athletes in alignment with university and NAIA standards
  • Aid in planning and conducting practices, workouts, and competition strategies
  • Help coordinate team travel, meals, and logistics for practices, duals, tournaments, and events
  • Mentor student-athletes, promoting academic success, spiritual growth, and character development
  • Assist with strength and conditioning programs, in coordination with the university’s strength staff
  • Maintain a visible presence on campus and positively represent the wrestling program and athletic department
  • Ensure compliance with all university, AMC conference, and NAIA rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics
