Schedule:
The schedule for this position is up to 10 hours per week and may include both weekdays and weekend days depending on scheduled events for the program. This graduate assistantship is available for fall, spring, and summer terms. Assistantships are given on a per semester basis. The position is renewed based on performance, professionalism, and collaboration. The granting of an assistantship does not guarantee future assistantship positions.

MS in Athletic Training:
Athletic trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health
care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative
services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and
rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Athletic Training
encompasses the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and
rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions.
Athletic training is recognized by the American Medical Association (
AMA
),
Health Resources Services Administration (
HRSA
) and the Department of Health
and Human Services (
HHS
) as an allied health care profession.
General skills and qualifications:
Communication
: Students must communicate with other graduate assistants and faculty both in-person and via electronic mediums.
Computer skills:
Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Office and internet and database search tools is critical.
Self-motivation
: Students must demonstrate a high level of responsibility to complete tasks in a timely manner and make significant progress without direct supervision.
Develop and grow:
S
tudents must demonstrate the ability to learn new skills in the areas of research, logistics, software, and lab equipment.
Preferred skills include:
Professional and research writing skills,
Ability to assist with statistical analysis of data, and
