JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a dynamic, cutting-edge creative professional to work with our Creative Services Department as a Graphic Designer. The individual will be involved in a variety of facets of Penn State's highly successful 31-sport varsity athletic program and will be expected to produce high-level designs that elevate the brand’s profile as well as that of its student-athletes.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with the Assistant Athletic Director for Creative Services and Brand Management as well as the Creative Services staff to produce original and creative designs for a variety of print, social media, and web-based materials including social media graphics, recruiting support, posters, game programs, signage and large-scale facility graphics, media guides, advertising, tickets and ticket brochures, maps, website and e-mail graphics, logos and varied promotional materials as well as creative input for GoPSUsports.com. The candidate will also fulfill design needs of supporting department units, including Strategic Communications, Marketing, Compliance, etc.
The individual will need to expedite, organize, and track a large and varying workflow involving multiple deadlines for both external and internal clients, archive and organize files, projects and art, fulfill multiple requests, assist in editing digital photography, and assist in the planning of photo shoots.

Education and Experience:
This position reports to the Senior Graphic Designer and typically requires an Associate's Degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) or higher plus two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2.
Experience with supervising and managing a student intern program is a plus.
Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and After Effects are preferred.
Experience with additional Adobe Applications is a plus.
