Position Summary

Missouri Valley University seeks an energetic, visionary, and student-centered Head Archery & Shotgun Sports team Coach to provide leadership for the Universities men’s and women’s Archery & Shotgun team. The Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of program administration, including recruiting, roster management, coaching, player development, academic success, budgeting, scheduling, fundraising, alumni engagement, and compliance with institutional, conference, and NAIA Conference regulations. The successful candidate will foster a culture of competitive excellence, integrity, sportsmanship, academic achievement, and personal development while supporting the mission and values of Missouri Valley University.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Program Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership and long-term vision for the men’s and women’s Archery & Shotgun programs.
  • Develop a competitive program capable of contending for conference championships and national qualification.
  • Establish a positive, disciplined, and inclusive team culture.
  • Promote sportsmanship, leadership, accountability, and character development among student-athletes.
  • Develop annual goals and measurable objectives for team and individual success.
  • Hire, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches and support staff Coaching Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and conduct all phases of the program to include but not limited to practices and conditioning sessions.
  • Develop individualized training plans for Shooting, and Archery disciplines.
  • Coach during all practices and competitions.
