The Head Athletic Trainer is a full- time position responsible to the Athletic Director, Intercollegiate Athletics. This position oversees the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, while ensuring the health, safety, and well- being of all student athletes. The Head Athletic Trainer also manages daily operations of the sports medicine program, supervises staff, and ensures compliance with the National Junior College Athletic Association, institutional, and healthcare standards.
The Athletic Training Department services 12 highly competitive athletic teams that compete in the NJCAA, as well as cheerleading and the World-Famous Apache Belles.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in health and kinesiology
Required Experience
Three years of experience in athletic training or a related field
Preferred Education
Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in health and kinesiology; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Additional Job-Specific Requirements
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of skills, techniques, and strategies of athletic training
Successful athletic training experience at the secondary and /or college level
