Waldorf University, located in Forest City IA, seeks interested and qualified candidates for the position of Head Athletic Trainer/Program Coordinator. This position reports to the Athletic Director and will provide management and oversight of the university athletic training program. Oversee assistant athletic trainers provided by contract, manage athletic training budget, coordinate and schedule team practice and game coverage assignments. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The Head Athletic Trainer will have the responsibility to set procedural expectations for training activities and services; carefully maintain records pertaining to medical forms, injuries and treatment; coordinate training schedule and evaluation/treatment care in cooperation with trainers and physicians; communicate and educate coaching staff and faculty regarding restrictions and return to play plans; perform administrative duties in budgeting, scheduling of training staff, evaluation of program and supplies/equipment maintenance/orders; supervise student athletic training staff and provide oversight of 3-4 athletic trainers.
