HEAD BASEBALL COACH

Brescia University, a small Catholic Liberal Arts University located in Kentucky is searching
for a Head Coach for the baseball program. The position is responsible for the varsity team
and provides oversight of the JV team. The coach will recruit and develop student athletes
and will monitor their academic progress. This position will also be responsible for the
operations budget, fundraising activities and the advancement of Brescia University’s athletic
program’s overall goals and responsibilities.

Qualifications are:

• Bachelor’s degree required or Master’s preferred in Sport Administration,

Recreation Administration, College Student Personnel Administration, Physical
Education, or related area

• 3 years of experience coaching baseball at the collegiate level
• Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable by Brescia insurance.

• Effective communication skills
• Experience developing player skills and techniques, along with executing game

strategies.

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Responsible for the players’ performance in the classroom and for the behavior

of the team during games;

• Organize activities and athlete training, analyze performance, and instruct athletes

with game strategies and techniques;

• Recruit and train team managers and game management personnel where

applicable;

• Responsible for scheduling and conducting team practices and game travel,

maintaining budget, supplies, and equipment.
