Head Bowling Coach – Men’s and Women’s

Brescia University, a small Catholic Liberal Arts University located in Kentucky is
searching for 2 part-time Head Bowling Coaches to start a men’s and a women’s
bowling programs. These positions will be responsible for the successful development,
implementation, and evaluation of the new bowling program.

Qualifications are:

 Bachelor’s degree, Master’s in Sports/Recreation or Student Personnel

Administration, Physical Education or another related program.

 3 years of experience in collegiate bowling, as player or coach
 Must have valid driver’s license and insurable by Brescia insurance.
 Effective communication skills
 Knowledge of fund-raising and budgeting practices

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

 Responsible for the administration and oversight of both men’s and women’s

varsity team including:

o Recruiting within the guidelines established by NAIA and Brescia, scouting,
game and practice preparation, public relations/fundraising activities and
budget operations

 Coordinate and supervise practices, including strength and conditioning workouts
 Arrange all team travel plans and transportation; will travel with team including

overnight stays

 Maintain an inventory of team supplies and equipment
 Monitor and advise players on academic progress
