Status: Part-Time, Non-Benefit Eligible
Location: Lisle Campus
Position Summary: This position is responsible for the management of the Benedictine University Cheerleading program.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Develop a cheerleading program to include choreography, cheer, stunts, and gymnastics.
Plan and coordinate all try-outs for the team: including recruitment, advertising, physical clearances, and scheduling of space
Schedule and attend tryouts and practices for the team. Ensure that space is secured on campus through Athletics.
Maintain a calendar of practices and events including but not limited to the team's presence and support of all Football, Men's, and Women's home basketball games and applicable tournaments.
Prepare the team for on-campus and university-related engagements including but not limited to Homecoming, Pep Rallies, and requested events.

Required Qualifications:
Education: High School Graduate/GED Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience: Prior coaching experiences and experience in Athletics or related field is preferred. Is employable under Benedictine University employment policies
Specific Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff and administration. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. College Cheerleading and Cheerleading Competition experience preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications: Yes. Organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and budget management skills and demonstrated supervisory skills.
Valid Driver’s License required. CPR certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle varying levels of stress while maintaining professional demeanor. Possible lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, stretching, and stooping. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; outdoor exposure to sun/heat or cold weather.
Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand. Understand the speech of another person.
See details of objects that are less than a few feet away or are more than a few feet away. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. General Customer service and office environment.

Working Conditions: Office/outdoor environment. Nights and weekends required.
Training: As a University employee you are required to complete all University-specific and/or OSHA related training to fulfill your job duties. Specific training will be conducted online or in person. Employees must complete all trainings required by Benedictine University.
