Purpose of Role

Under general supervision, the Head Coach actively recruits student athletes, schedules games and practices and makes recommendations for scholarships; contributes to the educational mission of the University by offering education, direction and instruction in the area of tennis. Both Men's and Women's Tennis programs will participate in DII and in the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) beginning the upcoming 26-27. Supervisory responsibility for assistant coaches, graduate assistants, and volunteer coaches. 

About This Opportunity

  • Contributes to the educational mission of the University by coordinating the instruction of student-athletes in the area of tennis training and competition;
  • Recruits student-athletes for both men's and women's tennis program;
  • Instructs methods and strategies and coaches student-athletes in the sport;
  • Makes decisions regarding scholarships;
  • Schedules practices and games;
  • Responsible for the transport and supervises players while on the road;
  • Supervises assistant coaching staff and performs performance appraisals;
