Job Description

St. Thomas Aquinas College invites applications for the position of Head Coach, Softball. The Head Coach is responsible for the administration, supervision, and management of all aspects of the Softball program in alignment with the policies and regulations of St. Thomas Aquinas College, the East Coast Conference (ECC), and the NCAA.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Softball program, including planning, coaching, and program administration.
  • Recruit qualified student-athletes and support their academic progress.
  • Select, supervise, and retain Assistant Coaches in collaboration with the Director of Athletics.
  • Lead all practices and competitions, including developing practice plans and game strategies.
  • Manage administrative duties such as rosters, scheduling, statistics, facilities, tournaments, and travel arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with ECC and NCAA rules and attend required meetings and committees.
  • Provide budget recommendations and maintain a positive, professional team culture.
  • Support student-athlete well-being and coordinate with sports medicine staff.
  • Collaborate with campus departments and report any outside athletic income per NCAA guidelines.
  • Drive college vans as needed and perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Athletics.
