As the head coach of swimming, you will communicate with students, parents, and physicians to determine student-athlete eligibility, establish procedures for injuries/emergencies, handle travel arrangements, and complete necessary paperwork. In this position you will create and implement methods to learn the potential of student-athletes and will encourage students to graduate in four years and to pursue a rewarding career. The head coach schedules competitions and well-organized practices and must maintain office hours for student-athletes to discuss any concerns.You will maintain a positive, enthusiastic atmosphere for students at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degreewith demonstrated commitment to student development
Minimum of three years college head coaching experience in the sport of swimming with proven leadership ability and excellent communication skills

Working understanding of NAIA guidelines, federal regulations, and other policies governing intercollegiate athletics
Proven ability to establish and cultivate effective working relationships in a team-oriented environment
Experience in fund raising in a college environment and managing budgets
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
CPR and first aid
Lifeguarding
USA Swimming membership or equivalent
Travel Required: 20% to 40%
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
