Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The Head Coach, Indoor

Volleyball, will oversee, develop, organize, and direct a strategically competitive

NCAA

Division I program. Responsible for the overall coaching, management, and administration of the program to include evaluating and recruiting, supervising academic progress, and promoting the graduation of student-athletes.

Administer and teach all phases of training and fundamentals for a successful program in accordance with

NCAA

,

CAA

, and UNCW’s rules and regulations. Develop quality student-athletes within a successful program while maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism. Participate in and support department and program fundraising, promotional and public relations events, campus and community outreach and service projects.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree

Proven success in the recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes as well as the commitment to the personal, academic, and athletics success of all student-athletes

Outstanding leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills

Strong knowledge of

NCAA

rules and regulations

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Master’s Degree

Division I coaching experience

Required Certifications or Licensures

Current certifications in

CPR

and First Aid or must obtain these certifications within first 30 days of employment.
