Caldwell University invites applications for a part-time Head Women’s Volleyball Coach to begin immediately. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President and Director, Athletics,the Head Coach is responsible for directing, supervising and overseeing all activities of the coaching staff and team while communicating and integrating the mission of the University and the philosophy of the Athletics Department into the program. Job Duties include, but are not limited to, advising the Athletics staff and volleyball team rules and policies and ensuring compliance with those rules and policies, supervising all games, scrimmages and practices, recruiting student-athletes and recommending students who should receive athletic grant and scholarships, directing, supervising, and evaluating assistant coaches, working with compliance office to maintain accurate records, scouting opponents when applicable, supplying the Director, Athletic Media Relations with team and individual student athlete information, preparing and submitting the annual budget, driving if necessary, overseeing the preparation, distribution, and collection of equipment inventory for the volleyball program, developing and executing the team philosophy, representing the institution at meetings and conferences, and participating in various University and Athletic functions.
Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus two to three years of effective experience in athletic coaching. CPR certification and must successfully complete the NCAA Division II Education Modules prior to recruiting off campus. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be available to work evenings and weekends as needed. Candidates must be willing to support the Catholic Dominican mission of the university.
