Job Summary:
The Head Coach of Women's Flag Football is responsible for the development, coaching and administration of all aspects of a successful NCAA Division II Flag Football program in strict adherence to the rules and policies of the University, the Pacific West Conference and the NCAA. The position requires the ability to travel with the team and work on weekends and evenings. In addition, the Head Coach must maintain collaborative working relationships with administrators and coaches in the Athletics Department, other college offices, and appropriate relationships with members of the media, donors, and other individuals interested in the sports program.
This is a part-time, non-exempt coaching position with an 11-month appointment schedule. The position is expected to work up to 19 hours per week.
Location : This position is located at our St. Francis Athletics Administration office in downtown Honolulu.

3 years of head coaching experience at intercollegiate level
Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules
Experience with program administration at the intercollegiate level
College playing experience preferred

Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
1. Develop and administer a successful sports program (60%): - Recruiting and developing student-athletes who will successfully represent the institution academically and athletically. - Scheduling and organizing practice and contests in accordance with applicable Pacific West Conference and NCAA regulations. - Attending and coaching all games and practices. - Administering sports program budget in line with the guidelines provided by the Athletics Department and the Office of Chief Financial Officer.
2. Monitor and foster student-athletes’ well-being and academic success (20%): - Monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress in collaboration with the Athletics Academic Advisor. - Developing and instituting mandatory or voluntary study programs for student athletes - Fostering student-athletes’ well-being through provision of a safe and a non-discriminatory environment
3. Fundraising and Community Service Efforts: (10%) - Organizing and implementing the team’s fundraising initiatives - Organizing and implementing the team’s community service activities
4. Support operations of the HPU Athletics Department (5%) - Participating at HPU community service, public relations or recruiting events
5. Perform other related duties as assigned (5%) - Actively participates as an effective member of team by completing assigned duties, accepting additional assignments or reassignments.
