ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

This position reports to Senior Associate AD for Compliance & Student Athlete Excellence. Organizes and administers intercollegiate sport(s). May supervise a staff and/or have budgetary responsibility. May conduct practices, identify and recruit qualified student-athletes, develop competitive schedules, coordinate team travel, and insure compliance with governing rules and regulations.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a competitive D1 soccer program by providing technical expertise and utilize sound coaching methods.
• Oversight of team budgets.
• Participate in promotional and public relations events, fundraising activities and generate positive public relations.
• Comply with all NCAA, Horizon League, UW System and UW-Green Bay rules and regulations.
• Monitor the academic performance of student athletes to assure they meet performance standards of University of NCAA. 
• Work with coaching staff in talent assessment, recruitment of quality student-athletes. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree at time of application
• 3 years of coaching at the collegiate level
• Working knowledge of NCAA and/or Horizon League rules and regulations

• Head Coach experience

SPECIAL NOTES:

 

This position requires significant travel and varying schedule that includes nights and weekends. 

The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to travel to or work at the Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs. 

Position is a full-time Limited appointment. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). SALARY INFORMATION

Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

BENEFIT DETAILS

UW System provides an excellent benefits package to meet the diverse needs of its employees.  This includes several health insurance options, with annual deductibles as low as $250/individual and $500/family. Our benefits package also includes dental, vision, several life insurance options, AD&D and Accident insurance and Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts.  We participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), where employer contributions begin immediately and employees are fully vested after 5 years of service.  The UW System also provides supplemental retirement savings programs including a 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.

In addition, employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%.  This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually.  Employees earn 13-27 days of vacation each year, depending on years of service and employment type.
