Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Head Coach, Women’s Soccer is todevelop a competitive program, displaying high levels of sportsmanship. Creating a balanced culture, betweenacademics and athletics. Overall responsibilities include recruitment of talented student-athletes, coaching of in-season practices and contests, scheduling of athletic contests and scrimmages. The successful candidate will work closely and effectively with athletics administrators as well as represent Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in a positive and professional manner.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee recruitment and retention of student athletes year-round, meeting required roster numbers.
  • Plan and attend recruiting events on campus (admissions, athletics, etc.).
  • Scheduling, planning, and execution of in-season and off-season practices.
  • Scheduling of pre-season scrimmages and non-conference contest.
  • Management of all team uniforms and equipment
  • Academic monitoring of student athletes
  • Adhere to all Yankee Small College Conference and United States Collegiate Athletic Association guidelines.
  • Proper use of all resources provided by the department of athletics (ex: recruiting software, film exchange platforms, etc.).
  • Work in compliance with the head athletic trainer and team physician regarding student athlete’s care. Emphasize importance of prehab, strength & conditioning, and rehabilitation efforts of training staff.
  • Potential to conduct and direct camps and clinics for area youth.
  • Complete professional development provided and human resources training/certifications.
