Job Description

Lyon College invites applications for a full-time head coach of its Women’s wrestling program
effective immediately. The primary responsibilities of the head coach include, recruiting,
conducting practices, and scheduling matches. Additional responsibilities include teaching a
limited number of physical education courses and other duties as assigned. Applicants must have
wrestling coaching/playing experience and an understanding of recruiting student athletes at a
small, liberal arts college. A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s preferred.

Lyon College is a U.S. News and World Report “top tier” national liberal arts college affiliated
with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Lyon is located in the foothills of the Ozarks in Batesville,
Arkansas, a safe and convenient town of 10,000 that serves as commercial, medical, social, and

governmental hub for an eight-county area. The College enrolls over 600 students from twenty-
five states and sixteen foreign countries on its picturesque 136 acre campus. Entering freshmen

have an average HSGPA of 3.6 and an average ACT of 24/SAT score of 1117. The picturesque
campus is 90 miles north of Little Rock and 125 miles west of Memphis. The College is a member
of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and competes in the St. Louis
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC).
