St. Anthony Catholic High School, a private, college preparatory High school for young men and women, is seeking a Cross Country Head Coach. All teachers are expected to teach within the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and our Core Values of Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; and Holistic Education. The Cross Country Head Coach reports to the School Principal.
St. Anthony Catholic High School prepares young men and women for positions of responsibility and leadership through a college preparatory curriculum based on Catholic values and traditions.
This position is not benefits eligible.
Job Duties

| Description of Job Duties |
- Instructs players in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport.
- Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises.
- Assesses players skills, monitors players during competition and practice.
- Determines game strategy.
- Supervises athletes during practices and competition.
- Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
- Models good sportsmanship behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials and spectators.
- Builds and maintains professional relationships with parents at all times and uses sound judgment in communicating and working with parents.
- Participates in special activities to include senior night, athletic banquet, booster club meetings, and pep rallies.
- Maintains eligibility records, inventory, and other related paperwork.
- Serve as a faith leader model for the team and program.
- Attends staff meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
| Knowledge Skills and Abilities |
- Knowledge base to teach individual sport skills and team strategies.
- Ability to teach fundamental skills.
- Effective communicator to athletes, parents, coaching staff, administration, and the greater community.
- Ability to maintain composure in difficult or stressful coaching situations with players, officials, and parents.
- Appropriate appearance and dress required for coaching in practice and meet conditions.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

| Required Education |
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
|
| Required Work Experience |
- Two (2) years high school coaching experience.
- College competition experience may substitute for high school coaching on
a year for year basis.
|
| Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelors Degree.
- Experience as a player of the sport.
- Some experience as a Head Track coach.
|
| Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations |
- Must have a valid CDL or the ability to obtain CDL within 3 months of hire.
- Must have a valid driver license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.

- PT coach practice hours are Mon-Fri after school (school days only) from 3:30-5:30pm.
- Game schedule attendance is mandatory.
