Position Summary
The Head Cross Country/Track and Field Coach’s responsibilities will include directing all phases of a competitive men’s and women’s cross country/ track and field program.
A desire to work in a Christian Higher Education atmosphere is necessary.
Bachelor’s degree is required; master’s preferred.
Duties
Duties will include but are not limited to: recruiting, scheduling, practice and game administration, spiritual mentoring of players, academic advising, and budgetary control, other administrative duties as assigned by the athletic director, and promoting the academic success of the student-athlete.
Create a safe environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development, motivation, and inspiration of students.
Work directly with the Director of Athletics to ensure the success and safety of the program.
Periodically work with the athletic trainers to develop rehabilitation programs for athletes who have been injured.
Recommends purchase, maintenance, and repair of equipment and supplies, as deemed appropriate.
Ability to model, live, and reinforce the school’s core values on and off the field of play with colleagues, scholar-athletes, parents, and the larger community.
Contribute to brand awareness through community events, seasonal programs, camps, and clinics
Contribute to the creation of daily/weekly social media content
Provide instruction that will benefit the students athletes skills and character.
Other duties, as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
