Quinnipiac University's Department of Athletics seeks a Head Equipment Manager to run the day-to-day equipment operation. This includes the purchase and payment of all apparel, uniforms and equipment for the department, executing the athletic department’s contract with the equipment and apparel vendor, and working with Marketing & Communications on maintaining and promoting the Quinnipiac brand. It also includes oversight of laundry for all teams and ice hockey equipment.

Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, NCAA, MAAC Conference, ECAC Conference and Big East Conference rules and regulations Execute the equipment and apparel contract and other team specific equipment contracts Purchase, inventory, distribute, collect, maintain and repair of athletic equipment for 21 varsity athletic programs across 3 athletic facilities Work with Integrated Marketing on all uniform and apparel purchases to ensure that the department is within the branding guidelines and that the department serves as a top ambassador for the Quinnipiac brand Oversee the laundry operation for all 21 division 1 programs across 3 facilities. Including collection, laundering, storing and distribution of game uniforms Serve as the main equipment contact for the athletic department, including overseeing the day-to-day equipment needs of the Women’s Ice Hockey program, and providing support to the Men’s Ice Hockey staff Practice and game setup and breakdown of benches, home and visiting locker rooms Coordinate with other institutions with regards to team travel both home and away to coordinate logistics and laundry needs Hire, schedule and supervise 30-40 student laundry workers, a part-time employee and a graduate assistant Other duties as assigned

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds and functions to achieve shared goals Experience with purchasing and invoices a plus Ability to operate commercial laundry machinery Strong organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed Team travel is required to supervise road equipment needs Ability to lift up to 100 pounds Valid Driver's License
