Description

This position will be required to adhere to the direction of team physicians and the Director(s) of Sports Medicine performing all duties required as an athletic trainer including but not limited to injury prevention, evaluation and diagnosis, immediate emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation, and medical record keeping for athletes. In addition, this position will be required to oversee day-to-day operations, game management responsibilities at assigned games, and other administrative duties assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine.

Job Duties

  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the football athletic training room and all Sports Medicine activities for football.
  • Supervises and trains football athletic training staff and student employees.
  • Responsible for conducting initial assessments and providing emergency or continued care of football athlete injuries or illnesses and determines whether an injured athlete should be referred to Team Physicians for definitive diagnosis and treatment.
