Athletics is a dynamic team of student-athletes, coaches and administrators with a vision to demonstrate unprecedented excellence in athletics, academics and student-athlete development. Our championship culture provides a foundation for all students to grow as a person, student and athlete.
This position is responsible for providing coaching expertise and leadership for the administration of the intercollegiate athletics Football program; management and administration of all aspects relating to a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for student-athletes.
Primary Accountabilities:
Teaching and coaching student-athletes in order to develop and acquire the extensive tactical, technical and physical knowledge required to be a competitive Division I intercollegiate level student-athlete. Responsible for skill evaluation, instruction, planning, organization and supervision of individual and team practices and intercollegiate athletic competitions.
Administration of the Football program including hiring of assistant coaches and other support staff, implement a recruiting program scheduling of competitions, budget management, fundraising, alumni relations, and staff development. Collaborate with training staff relative to the health and safety of the student-athletes. Monitoring of the student-athlete academic progress to maintain their academic eligibility.
Ensure the Football program, including staff members and student-athletes, is in compliance with
NCAA
, Mid-American Conference, and Ohio University rules and regulations.
Bachelor’s degree.
At least three years coaching experience as a head or assistant coach on the collegiate level. Management experience required.
CPR
certification required within 90 days of the start date.
Master’s degree preferred. Collegiate football playing experience.
ICA-Football
Commensurate with education and experience.
