The Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country/Track and Field Coach is responsible for every aspect coaching the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country & Track and Field teams.

The Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country/Track and Field Coach is appointed by the Vice President for the Student Experience and the Director of Athletics and Recreation but will report to the Director of Athletics and Recreation and/or an Associate/Assistant Director of Athletics and Recreation.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country/Track and Field Coach. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Full responsibility for coaching the teams, including the traditional season, non-traditional season and off-season conditioning/activities
  2. Striving towards and attaining competitive success for the Cross Country and Track and Field teams
  3. Recruit qualified and competitive student-athletes to Cross Country and Track and Field programs. Specific and defined target recruiting and roster (retention) numbers established in conjunction with the Director of Athletics must be met on an annual basis to insure current position status
  4. Supervise and evaluate assistant coaches
  5. Develop an appropriate and working knowledge of involved NCAA, Conference, and Marywood University athletic policies and procedures
