Description

The Department of Physical Education and Athletics at Hamilton College invites applications for the position of Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field Coach. We seek an experienced, dynamic leader to direct all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field programs, including recruiting, coaching, player development, and program administration, while fostering a positive and inclusive team culture that supports the academic and personal growth of student-athletes.

Responsibilities include planning and conducting practices and competitions, managing team operations and budgets, and ensuring compliance with all NCAA, conference, and institutional policies. In addition, the Head Coach will contribute to the academic mission of the department by teaching courses in wellness, fitness, or lifetime physical activity.

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their ability to coach, mentor, and support student-athletes from broadly diverse backgrounds. Your cover letter should address the ways in which you would enhance the educational and athletic experience of student-athletes and contribute to the College’s mission of academic excellence, inclusion, and community engagement. The position requires active engagement in departmental service, including participation in athletics department initiatives, student-athlete development programming, and other duties as assigned.
