Job Description:

Job Purpose:

The Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach is expected to coach golf teams which includes all practices and games. As well as organize and direct a training program to develop the team's potential and take a leadership role in recruiting, promotions, teaching, motivation and competition.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

· Supervise all golf practices and provide coaching to players.

· Prepare and maintain golf budgets.

· Work with Athletic Director on travel details and scheduling.

· Coordinate recruitment of players for golf

· Report all athlete injuries to the Athletic Trainer as needed.

· Follow all NCAA and GSC rules and regulations

Additional Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions):

· Work with Sports Information Director and Public Relations Director with regard to news releases, brochures, and team pictures.

· Maintain golf athlete records.

· Recommend athletes for awards.

· Manage issuance and inventory of equipment

· Provide strong leadership

· Maintain honorable and upstanding conduct of athletes on athletic trips.

· Other similar activities as assigned.

Requirements:

· Undergraduate degree required.

· Several years of progressively responsible coaching experience.

· Well organized, self-motivated and excellent communication and computer skills.

· Physical skills and abilities to demonstrate and communicate appropriate techniques and skills
