Head Men's Basketball Coach

Job Description

The Head Men’s Basketball Coach is responsible for all facets of leading a competitive NCAA Division I program. This includes the strategic planning, recruitment, and holistic development of student-athletes, ensuring excellence both on the court and in the classroom.

Core Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Direct and coordinate the planning, organizing, and coaching of the men’s basketball team. Implement effective training and game strategies.
  • Recruitment: Identify and recruit high-quality student-athletes who meet the academic and athletic standards of MVSU and the NCAA.
  • Academic Success: Monitor and encourage the academic progress of student-athletes to ensure compliance with NCAA, SWAC, and University eligibility requirements.
