SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach of Men's Soccer is responsible for the comprehensive organization, management, and development of the men's soccer program. This individual plays a critical role in fostering a positive team culture, promoting academic and athletic excellence, and ensuring the holistic development of student-athletes. The Head Coach must possess strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills to effectively coach, recruit, and build relationships with students, staff, alumni, and the broader college community. The role requires a strategic approach to program development, a commitment to student-athlete welfare, and adherence to institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following functions, listed in order of importance and significance:
Recruiting
Teaching/Coaching & Student-Athlete Experience
Program Administration
Regularly meet with the Assistant or Director of Athletics and attend monthly coaches' meetings.
Attending all UE meetings, including preseason, awards, and postseason meetings, both in-person and via conference calls.
Comply with all mandatory reporting and film exchange requirements as stipulated by UE /NCAA.
Coordinate all fundraising activities for the program.
Communicate effectively with the Department of Athletics staff and the College community on matters pertaining to the program.
Operate within all College, UE, and NCAA III guidelines.
Supervision
QUALIFICATIONS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS
Move equipment for game day and assist with game day equipment set-up.
Demonstrate drills or skills and physically keep up with the team.
