JOB SUMMARY:
Head Men’s Soccer Coach-Athletic Department
Lasell University located in Newton, MA, is seeking applications for the part-time position of Head Men’s Soccer Coach. This is a part-time position housed in the Department of Athletics and reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Athletics.
Lasell University is a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the NCAA Division III. Lasell’s 50-acre campus is located in Newton, MA, a community located ten miles west of Boston. The co-educational institution, offering professionally oriented baccalaureate and master’s degree programs, has an enrollment of 1200 full-time undergraduate students.
Primary Job Responsibilities :
The head coach will direct all facets of a competitive NCAA Division III men’s soccer program with a special emphasis on recruitment of appropriate student-athletes; specific tasks include, but are not limited to: practice and game preparation; budgeting; academic support; fundraising; supervision of assistant coach(es); and insuring the general welfare and the development of the student-athlete. It is required that the candidate will have a complete understanding of all NCAA Division III philosophies and regulations, and will adhere to these at all times. Regular day, evening, and weekend hours are required.
Qualifications :
Previous coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level is strongly preferred. Knowledge and compliance with NCAA Division III rules required. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the developmental education of student-athletes, a strong work ethic, organizational skills, computer skills, and the ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus, and the community. CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED BY THE JOB:
Minimum Education level: Bachelor's Degree
Computer skills: Microsoft Office
Other Requirements of the Job: Prior coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level; knowledge of NCAA Division III guidelines; and desire to build a strong Division III program, are required.
CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION OR LICENSURE REQUIRED BY THE JOB:
Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification required.
