The Head Tennis Coach is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Alma College's intercollegiate men's and women's tennis programs. This includes coaching, recruiting, budget management, fundraising, community engagement, and academic support.
The Head Tennis Coach is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Alma College's intercollegiate men's and women's tennis programs. This includes coaching, recruiting, budget management, fundraising, community engagement, and academic support.
-Bachelor's degree
-Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level or demonstrated success as a head coach at the high school level
-Knowledge of NCAA and MIAA rules and regulations.
-Demonstrated organizational skills, event and camp planning, recruiting success, and budget management.
-Commitment to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
-Willingness to actively coach, including on-court participation.
-Availability for evening and weekend work and overnight travel.
- A valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
-Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
-Commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes.
-Ability to serve as a positive ambassador for Alma College in all interactions.
-Master's degree
-Prior coaching experience at an NCAA Division III institution
- Experience working with underrepresented, first-generation, Pell-eligible, and diverse populations
