JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Athletics the Head Men’s and Women’s Swim Coach/Assistant Building Manager will be responsible for all recruiting, coaching, planning and management of the Greensboro College Men’s and Women’s Swim program and will also assist the Building Manager in the safe operation and maintenance of one indoor pool located in the Reynolds Center.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adheres to Greensboro College, ODAC Conference and NCAA rules and regulations

• Recruits qualified student-athletes and consistently communicates recruiting strategies and roster numbers to the Athletics Recruitment Coordinator

• Submits requested departmental forms in a timely manner

• Organizes practice plans and schedules contests

• Plans and implements team travel arrangements

• Develops student-athletes for optimal athletic performance

• Monitors the academic success of the student-athletes

• Creates a budget plan, regularly monitors expenditures, and exercises budget control

• Organizes equipment and apparel purchases as needed

• Develops fundraising strategies to enhance the overall student-athlete experience

• Transports student-athletes to and from meets

• Coordinates and facilitates community outreach opportunities within the Greensboro community

• Participates in athletic department meetings and initiatives

• Attends athletic department and college events to provide support to other teams and groups

• Willingness to be an excellent colleague and steward to Greensboro College

• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics

Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s Degree preferred)

• Previous coaching/competition experience at the collegiate level ispreferred

• Lifeguard Certification or Lifeguard Instructor Certification

• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) License holder

• Familiarity with MS 365, Team and Meet Manager, and ARMS software
