The Head Shotgun Sports Coach oversees all aspects of the Shotgun Sports program at Hastings College. This role is a part-time stipend, one year appointment. This includes but is not limited to, student development, and program administration. The coach will work closely with student-athletes to foster a positive and competitive team culture while promoting academic success and personal growth.

Athlete Development:

• Design and implement training sessions that focus on skill development.

• Provide individualized feedback and guidance to players to help them reach their full potential.

• Foster a competitive and supportive team environment that encourages athlete growth and teamwork.

Program Administration:

• Manage the budget for the program, including travel expenses, equipment purchases, and other operational costs.

• Coordinate team travel arrangements.

• Collaborate with athletic department staff on marketing, fundraising, and community engagement initiatives.

• Work as a liaison between the program and other departments.

Student-Athlete Support:

• Serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes, providing guidance and support to help them succeed academically, athletically, and personally.

• Advocate for the needs of student-athletes within the athletic department and College community.

• Promote a culture of sportsmanship, respect, and integrity both on and off the field.

Education & Experience:

● Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

● At least one year of experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
