RESPONSIBILITIES: The Head Softball Coach at Cameron University, an NCAA Division II institution in the Lone Star Conference is a highly responsible and demanding position. The University has a winning tradition in athletics and is strongly supported by the local community. Coaching duties will be performed under the general supervision of the Athletic Director or other administrative superior. The Head Women’s Softball Coach will be responsible for the development and implementation of a high-quality collegiate athletic program which conforms to NCAA and University rules, regulations, and policies. Examples of duties include: performs on-the field coaching during practices and games, responsible for recruiting student athletes, administers a scholarship program for Women’s Softball, develops schedules for the University’s Women’s Softball Team, develops a budget within allocated institutional resources and manages expenditures of funds within developed budget, performs fund raising for athletic and other endeavors at the University in cooperation with other University personnel, provides academic counseling services for Women’s Softball student athletes, supervises professional and student assistants, performs other related work as required and administrative duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree, high school or above coaching experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrates organizational and management ability.
