Missouri Valley College invites applications for the position of Head Stunt Coach to lead and grow our competitive STUNT program competing in the NAIA and USA Cheer. The Head Coach will be responsible for all aspects of program management, including recruiting, practice planning, competition preparation, academic support.
This role is ideal for a passionate leader who values student development, safety, and competitive excellence. The coach will collaborate and coordinate with the cheer coach, while both focus on program leadership, recruitment and retention, athlete development and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and administer all phases of the STUNT program.
Develop and implement training plans, practice schedules, and competition strategies.
Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, academic success, and personal growth.
Identify, recruit, and retain qualified student-athletes who align with MVC’s mission.
Build relationships with high school and club programs.
Manage recruiting databases and communications.
Teach and supervise skill progressions and advanced STUNT techniques.
Maintain compliance with NAIA, institutional, and safety standards.
Coordinate strength & conditioning and injury prevention strategies
Manage program budget, travel logistics, equipment, and scheduling.
Ensure compliance with NAIA and institutional policies.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
Previous coaching experience in STUNT, cheerleading, or acrobatics/tumbling.
Demonstrated knowledge of NAIA rules and collegiate athletics administration.
Strong recruiting and communication skills.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
Commitment to student-athlete academic success and holistic development
