St. Anthony Catholic High School, a private, college preparatory High school for young men and women, is seeking a Head Swimming Coach. This is a seasonal part-time position. Position is expected to coach sport within the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and our Core Values of Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; and Holistic Education. The Assistant Girls’ Varsity Basketball Coach reports to the Athletic Director.
This position is not benefits eligible.
Job Duties

| Description of Job Duties |
- Instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport.
- Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises as directed by the head coach.
- Assesses players skills, monitors players during competition and practice, and keeps the head coach informed of the athletic performance of athletes.
- Assists with determining game strategy.
- Supervising athletes during practices and competition.
- Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
- Models good sportsmanship behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials and spectators.
- Participates in special activities to include senior night, athletic banquet, booster club meetings, and pep rallies.
- Works with the assistant coach regarding eligibility, inventory, and other related paperwork.
- Attends staff meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
| Knowledge Skills and Abilities |
- Advanced understanding of key principles of teaching, learning and assessment,
- Ability to plan and deliver detailed and well thought out lessons with an understanding of learners’ needs, utilizing an extensive range of teaching techniques.
- Ability to create assessments that accurately measure students’ learning.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

| Required Education |
High School diploma or its equivalent.
|
| Required Work Experience |
Two (2) years of experience as a swim instructor at any level, preferably at the high school level.
|
| Preferred Qualifications |
College Degree.
|
| Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations |
- Must have a valid CDL or the ability to obtain CDL within 3 months of hire.
- Driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier.
- Must be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.

| Work Hours |
PT coach practice hours are Mon-Fri after school (school days only) from 3:30-5:30pm.
Game schedule attendance is mandatory.

Ability to carry equipment weighing up to 25lbs.
