Position Summary:
Under general supervision, the Head Volleyball Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a NCAA Division II women’s volleyball program, including the development, coaching, and management of all aspects of the team. This includes leading practices, strategizing for games, promoting the student-athlete experience, and fostering a positive and competitive team culture. The Head Volleyball Coach will recruit, train, and evaluate student-athletes, monitor student-athletes academic achievement, and ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference, and university policies. Additionally, the Head Volleyball Coach will collaborate with other staff and departments to enhance the overall success of the program, provide guidance and mentorship to athletes, and build strong relationships with the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree and three years of demonstrated successful coaching experience required - Master’s degree and college head coaching experience preferred. - Familiarity with the Lone Star Athletic Conference preferred - A valid New Mexico Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment is also required, as well as the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and road conditions. - Successful applicant will be encouraged to seek CDL passenger bus license endorsement within one year of employment
