Head Volleyball Coach

The candidate will help create an inclusive atmosphere aligning with the Athletic Department mission to recruit, retain and graduate athletes from all demographics. This part-time position is responsible for day-to-day operations of the volleyball program. The responsibilities include on court coaching responsibilities; fundraising for the program; off campus and on campus recruiting; manage use of Front Rush; skill development of players; oversee academic progress of team; and retention of players. Albright is an NCAA Division III member institution as well as a member of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), and the Commonwealth Conference. 

Essential Job Functions:

1. Lead the volleyball program with on court coaching.
2. Recruit prospective student athletes on and off campus. Evaluate player talent for recruits.
3. Organize recruiting communications and campus visits.
4. Set up and monitor student athlete academic sessions.
5. Lead retention efforts for volleyball athletes.
6. Game preparation and strategy.
7. Attend all MAC volleyball coach meetings.
8. Organize program fundraising.
9. Maintain team social media pages.
10. Promote diverse and inclusive atmosphere within the program.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Prerequisites:

1. COMMUNICATION:

   1. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. 
   2. Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to maintain team pages.

2. SKILLS:

   1. Playing and/or coaching volleyball experience necessary. 
   2. Must possess a dynamic personality. 
   3. Successful college recruiting experience preferred.

3. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE: 

   1. Coaching experience at high school or college level

4. EDUCATION: 

   1. College degree or equivalent required.

5. LICENSES:

   1. Drivers license required. 
   2. Child clearances required.
