Position Summary: The Womenβs Basketball Head Coach is responsible for leading a program that has enjoyed a rich tradition in the RMAC and NCAA Division II. The coach will direct all phases of the Womenβs Basketball program by establishing and maintaining a high standard of excellence, which includes recruiting academically qualified student-athletes, scheduling, scouting, conditioning, supervising the assistant coaching staff, managing the program budget, generating revenue, and other duties assigned. In addition, the Head Coach is responsible for ensuring that all duties are executed in compliance with NCAA, RMAC and institutional regulations. Develop and conduct pre-season, in-season and off-season training and conditioning programs for the team.

Monitor and operate within budgetary guidelines established by the Director of Athletics.
Evaluate performance of assistant coaches.
Work in collaboration with Athletics administrative staff in Compliance to advise student-athletes and staff of applicable intercollegiate athletic rules, regulations, and University policies and ensure compliance of such regulations.
Work in collaboration with Athletics administrative staff in Student-Athlete Welfare to inform student-athletes of academic and other matters pertaining to their enrollment and educational progress.
Monitor student-athlete academic performance and implement team, athletic department, and University measures to support their academic performance.
Ensure student-athletes participation in Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) initiatives.
Ensure appropriate safety measures are observed when conducting team activities.
Cooperate with the University physicians and athletic trainer staff to ensure student-athletes receive proper medical and physical training services.
Work with alumni, student groups, University administration, and community groups to seek support for the team.
Assist the Director of Athletics in fundraising and revenue generation activities including camps/clinics.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelorβs degree.
Three years of experience coaching at the collegiate level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masterβs degree,
Successful head coaching experience at the collegiate level
Knowledge of Division II rules
Salary for Announcement
Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $94,450.00 -102,000.00
This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
