Job Description:
Christian Brothers University seeks an innovative and enthusiastic Head Women's Flag Football Coach to launch and lead the University's intercollegiate flag football program. The Head Coach will be responsible for creating a sustainable, competitive program that attracts talented student-athletes while supporting the University's mission of academic excellence, leadership, and service.
The successful candidate will serve as an ambassador for the sport and the University by cultivating relationships with prospective students, high school coaches, community organizations, and alumni while providing a first-class student-athlete experience.
Leadership and Culture
Establish the identity, standards, and long-term vision for the women's flag football program.
Create an inclusive and positive team environment that promotes integrity, accountability, teamwork, and respect.
Develop leadership opportunities that encourage student-athletes to grow both on and off the field.
Foster a championship culture centered on competitive excellence and academic achievement.
Coaching Responsibilities
Plan and conduct practices that develop offensive, defensive, and special team's concepts appropriate for collegiate flag football.
Prepare game plans and make strategic in-game decisions.
Evaluate individual and team performance using video analysis and statistical data.
Coordinate strength and conditioning objectives with departmental staff.
Promote player safety and injury prevention through proper instruction and supervision.
Recruiting and Enrollment Management
Develop an annual recruiting plan to identify and attract qualified student-athletes.
Build relationships with high school athletic departments, club organizations, and emerging flag football programs.
Maintain regular communication with prospective student-athletes and their families throughout the recruiting process.
Support the University's enrollment initiatives by recruiting students who will thrive academically and socially.
Community Outreach and Program Growth
Represent Christian Brothers University at clinics, camps, coaching conventions, and community events.
Promote youth participation in flag football by developing outreach opportunities throughout the Mid-South.
Partner with local schools and organizations to increase awareness of the University's flag football program.
Collaborate with Athletics staff to enhance the program's visibility through marketing and social media initiatives.
Operational Responsibilities
Coordinate team travel, equipment, uniforms, scheduling, and practice logistics.
Administer the program budget responsibly and efficiently.
Assist with fundraising initiatives and cultivate relationships with alumni and supporters.
Maintain accurate records and complete departmental reporting requirements.
Compliance and Collaboration
Adhere to all NCAA, conference, and University rules, regulations, and policies.
Work collaboratively with Athletic Training, Strength and Conditioning, Compliance,
Academic Services, Admissions, and Athletic Communications to provide a comprehensive student-athlete experience.
Participate in Athletics Department meetings, committees, and special events.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of flag football, football, or a closely related sport officiating, playing, and/or coaching experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop student-athletes.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to maintaining compliance.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively.
Experience building or expanding a collegiate athletic program.
Experience coaching women's flag football.
Established recruiting contacts within high school, club, or recreational flag football organizations.
Experience organizing camps, clinics, and community engagement initiatives.
Preferred Experience :
Previous collegiate coaching experience in flag football, football, or a closely related sport.
Previous recruitment and player development experience.
