Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Head Coach for
our inaugural Women's Flag Football team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and
developing the team, lead recruitment efforts, implementing effective strategies, and fostering a
positive and inclusive team culture. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of flag
football, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for coaching and mentoring athletes. The Head
Women’s Flag Football Coach is accountable for modeling a professional demeanor as is inherent in
higher education and athletics as well as for mentoring student-athletes with an emphasis in
Christian formation. This position is responsible for ensuring that all Football related activities support
the mission of the University and are in compliance with all University and MAC rules and policies.
Additionally, this position will serve on the Men’s Football staff during the Fall Semester. In this role,
the Assistant Football Coach will coach a position group as assigned by the Head Football Coach and
assist with the programs overall operational goals.

Responsibilities

The Head Women’s Flag Football Coach will:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive training program to enhance players' skills, knowledge,
   

and performance in flag football.

Plan and conduct regular practices, focusing on individual and team development, strategy

Evaluate players' abilities and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills

Develop game plans and strategies to maximize the team's chances of success during

Provide guidance and instruction to players on proper techniques, rules, and strategies

General Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is required. Demonstrate knowledge in NCAA DIII rules along with the MAC
Conference.

The ability, and desire, to work successfully within a team-oriented department environment is
required. A commitment to the Division III philosophy of athletics, a working knowledge of NCAA
rules, and a demonstrated ability to recruit, retain and mentor student-athletes is
essential. Candidates must exhibit an understanding of, and support for, the University’s Christian
Mission. Additional qualifications include excellent interpersonal and organization skills and an ability
to effectively communicate the mission and vision of Eastern University and the Athletic Department
to alumni and friends of the university.
